Backend Engineer

We are seeking skilled and experienced Backend Engineers to join our team at ThirdAI Automation. In this role, you will design and develop scalable backend systems and APIs, optimize performance, implement security measures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-driven solutions that transform industrial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs.
Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and implement new features.
Optimize application performance and improve system efficiency.
Implement security and data protection measures.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to our engineering best practices.
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in backend development.

Requirements:

3+ years of experience as a Backend or Full-stack Engineer.
Strong proficiency in Python or Node.js, with the ability to write clean, efficient code.
Extensive experience in developing web backends, preferably end-to-end applications.
Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree from a Tier 1 college (IIT/NIT) or equivalent work experience in reputable companies.
Significant contributions to personal projects or open-source initiatives.
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools.
Knowledge of application performance monitoring systems (e. g., Sentry, Datadog, or similar).
Experience with AI coding tools and their integration into development workflows.
Understanding of containerization technologies (e. g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Key Responsibilities

Develop advanced Machine Learning algorithms in time-series domains
Collaborate with other applied scientists on algorithm development

Requirements:

BS/MS/Ph.D. in AI, ML, CS, EE or related field
